18 “Forget the former things;
    do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
    Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.”

  • isaiah 43:18-19

steppin’ into 2016…keepin’ it short, sweet and focused. a mental prolonged thought compilation of every previous event, moment, day, second, month, every tear, fall, disappointment, disgrace, shame, hurt, pain, unexpected; the smiles, the laughter, the loves, the kisses, the bed-making and cookie-style love-making. every penny, dollar and cent spent, saved, needed. every dream, hope, blessings, prayers down on bended knee, silent talks and walks with Him. every friend and foe, knitted connection framed in time, sleep-filled dreams of hearts and sleepless nights spent apart. every gift given, heart and loved received, the tricks and trials dangling on one’s sleeve. every trip taken, metro card swiped, every train missed and made, every running late, every just made it in time, every detail, for every piece of that one 2015 chapter of your life. every struggle and strife, winded breeze and tickling of the face. for every humpty dumpty broken and torn heart, every beauty waiting in the wings of the ashes and  every moment saved by Grace. and with every moment, you keep moving, to move on, stopping not, continue on, when it hurts, when it stabs and aches, smile with a head held high, one foot forward, lipstick set, cross centered and keep step, steppin’ and tra-la-la walk and soon skip and dance all the ways along while you sing your God-given and gifted song.

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.” – 2 corinthians 5:17
